*Due to the popularity of the Lego Movie opening weekend, when I got there, the theater was already packed and the only available seats were in the front row up against the screen and all the way over on the left side.
Review: As far as I could tell, this movie is mostly about the right cheek of a Lego character with a 50-foot head. There was some kind of story going on about super heroes, but my guess is some pivotal plot points developed way over on the right side of the screen – because I missed them.

At least I heard a lot of laughing behind me. I assume a lot of those jokes must have been heavily right-sided. Also, at one point my daughter spilled popcorn all over the floor making a big mess. I tried to clean it up a little, so I think I might have missed some important parts on the left side of the screen too. All I know is that when I came back up from cleaning the popcorn, I was completely lost for a good ten minutes. Toward the end, it turned into a live action movie and the gigantic face of Will Ferrell showed up. There was some story about him and a kid, but to be honest, I was mostly focused on the fact that Mr. Ferrell’s head was bigger than my house.
In sum, I’d give this movie 2 stars, but you should probably ask someone who saw the right side of the screen what they thought. My guess is that would add at least another star, but who knows.
